This artwork, Playful Precision, was created in deep reverence for my favourite time of year in Arnhem Land—the beginning of the dry season. The air shifts, becoming lighter and more defined, and the landscape awakens in a new way. Everywhere along my street, bee-eaters appear, flitting between the power lines, bringing with them a sense of momentum, clarity, and direction. Nature feels focused, yet playful—as if it knows exactly where it’s going, and revels in the journey.

This piece is a celebration of that energy: a fusion of joy and intention, freedom and finesse. It honours the magic of living with purpose while staying open to wonder, and the clarity that comes when the skies clear—both literally and within.
