Spring- print
A gentle celebration of renewal, softness, and blossoming abundance.
Eostre, the ancient goddess of spring, symbolizes the sacred turning point where darkness gives way to light, and stillness bursts into bloom. Honored at the spring equinox, she is the embodiment of renewal, fertility, and balance—ushering in fresh beginnings, tender blossoms, and the reawakening of life from winter’s slumber. Her sacred animal, the rabbit, is a timeless emblem of fertility, abundance, and the quickening pulse of new life, making it a potent symbol of rebirth, especially around Easter.
This watercolour portrait was created during the Easter long weekend, a time when the spirit of Eostre feels especially present. It is a celebration of spring’s arrival in Europe, a shift in seasons that I deeply miss, when the world begins to exhale again. After months of grey and stillness, there is a sudden softness in the air—strangers smile, windows open, flowers peek through the soil, and the streets hum with the quiet joy of returning light and shared aliveness. This piece captures that essence: the beauty of becoming, the magic of emergence, and the gentle invitation to grow.
Each print is a whisper from the original watercolour painting by Chamonix Higginson—infused with intention, emotion, and the essence of the feminine spirit.
We print on gallery-quality, 100% cotton rag paper with a soft, smooth texture and a gentle grain—echoing the same soulfulness as the paper used in the original work. Archival inks made from natural minerals ensure each piece holds its vibrancy and magic for years to come.
